A WHITE JADE ‘CHRYSANTHEMUM’ CUP
MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The bell-shaped cup is raised on a circular
foot and fanked by a pair of openwork
handles carved as a stem of blossoming
chrysanthemum. The sides are also carved
with chrysanthemum.

ARCHAISTIC BELL
17TH-18TH CENTURY
Of oval section, the bell is carved on each
side with a feld of archaistic scroll pattern
above a large taotie mask, and on the narrow
sides in openwork with dragons crawling to
the top where they are confronted on the
suspension loop.
