ainted in cobalt blue on opposite sides of this jar are
                                                             Porchids. The short neck flares slightly above a spherical
                                                             body. The base is glazed, but the foot is unglazed and has
                                                             adhesions of kiln grit.

                                                             The angle of the neck probably facilitated the securing of a
                                                             cloth or paper cover with a cord.
