the attened circular body rising from a short spreading foot
the rounded sides rising to an everted rim, painted to the to a tall trumpet neck anked by a pair of ruyi handles, the
interior with a garden scene of three scholars playing musical exterior moulded in low relief on both sides with a peach-
instruments under a pine tree, assisted by two attendants, shaped panel painted in rich cobalt-blue tones with bats
encircled by a border of four auspicious emblems interspersed soaring around fruiting leafy sprays bearing clusters of ripe
with leafy lotus sprays, within a wide border of cartouche peaches, the panels surrounded by a leafy oral scroll ground
panelled scenes reserved on a diaper ground at the rim and similarly decorated to the sides and neck, the rectangular
48.5 cm, 9 in. foot with a classic scroll band, the base inscribed with a seal
mark in underglaze blue
