A PAIR OF EMBROIDERED YELLOW SILK PILLOWS
Late Qing dynasty
The four bombé sides joined to a top and base of square section,
embroidered in various shades of red, blue, yellow and white with
composite lotus flowers surrounded by stylized peony and begonia
blossoms growing from spiky-leafed stems on a mustard yellow
ground (wear, fading).

A GROUP OF FIVE FRAMED AND GLAZED TEXTILE
FRAGMENTS
Qing dynasty
The first a faded red silk brocade fragment woven in green, white, and
subdued colors with snakes, scorpions, frogs and other animals amid
flowering and leafy branches (tears to ground); the second a faded
green silk ground kesi-woven fragment preserving a dragon in gilt-
wrapped threads above a lishui border (old tears in ground); the third
a faded red satin hanging panel with tassel, embroidered in delicate
loop stitch with four the Eight Buddhist emblems using polychrome
silk floss and gilt-wrapped threads; the fourth a rectangular faded red
silk fragment embroidered with a visvajra in gilt-wrapped threads amid
vine scrolls worked in blue and white loop stitches; the fifth a faded
yellow brocade fragment similarly embroidered with a visvajra amid leaf
and vine scrolls in polychrome loop stitches; each fragment separately
framed and glazed.
