Depicting mirror images of the fabulous beast
turning its dragon-like head backward toward
the sun and clouds above as it prances above
waves and lingzhi fungus heads woven in
white and subdued colors on a black satin
ground; each panel bordered with strips of
pale green ground brocade silk.
11 x 11 3/4in (28 x 30cm) the qilin panels

borders
