A QIANJIANGCAI ENAMELED VASE
Late Qing dynasty, dated by inscriptions to 1901
Of square-sectioned baluster form with animal head and mock ring
handles in raised relief that separate flower sprays and auspicious fruit
on opposing sides above inscriptions dated cyclically to the xin-chou
year (1901), the two remaining walls painted with a towering landscape
opposing cranes amid flowers and pine trees, both with similarly dated 5132
inscriptions bearing the signature Wang Yousu (chipped).
