Two white jade pendants
Qing dynasty
The first of rectangular silhouette, thinly sectioned and finished on both
sides as two dragons facing the suspension shank rising from the top
of a bell with projecting flanges and a taotie mask, the translucent
matrix of fairly even and pale greenish-white hue; the second a circular
pendant reticulated as a bird tethered with loops of ribbon to a leafy
twig issuing from the thicker bamboo branch that forms the frame
beneath a flowering plum twig cut as the suspension loop, the matrix
of even off-white hue.

A celadon jade carving of a vase and cover and
‘prunus trunk’ vase
19th century
The single stone carved as a baluster vase incised with curling scrolls

on the body, with reticulated handles and a stepped cover with incised

scrolls and a rope-like finial, supported on one side by rockwork and

a leafy bamboo shaft, and on the other side another vase formed as a

gnarled prunus trunk beside Lake Tai rockwork with smaller branches

bearing flowers and buds extending to both sides.

A carved greenish-white jade boulder
Qing dynasty
Of horizontal profile, the front carved in relief as a craggy mountain setting
for a bearded sage holding a ruyi scepter and a young boy carrying a
lingzhi branch separated by a pine tree rising from rock-work; the reverse
rendered as simple rock surfaces that retain some of the boulder’s natural
russet skin, also showing veins of mottled gray to off-white hue.

A ‘chicken bone’ jade lotus-form brush washer
Qing dynasty
Hollowed as two conjoined lotus pods, one open and the other with
a circle of lotus seeds, beside spreading leaves and lotus buds, all
issuing from intertwined stems tied with a ribbon.
