TWO ROCK CRYSTAL SNUFF BOTTLES
1760-1850
Each of upright rectangular form with sloping shoulders and flat
lips and supported by oval foot rims, the first bottle smokey crystal,
carved in low relief with a mountainous waterscape along the natural
inclusions, the foot etched with “CHINA”; the second bottle with one
face carved with a spray of chrysanthemum in low relief.
3in (7.4cm) high, the taller (2).

A RARE BLACK OVERLAY SANDWICHED GLASS
SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1880
Of compressed form with a flat lip and an oval foot rim surrounding
a convex foot, the sandwiched pink glass ground with black glass
overlay carved as cavorting adult fu lions with a pup, fixed ring mask
handles to the narrow sides.

Of flattened globular form with a tall neck and flat lip, the two principle
sides both carved in low relief with twin descending dragons, their tails
bound and their bodies surrounding an incised shou medallion.
