TWO RED GLASS OVERLAY SNUFF BOTTLES
1800-1900
Each of compressed globular form with high necks, flat lips
and supported by oval foot rims surrounding convex feet,
the first bottle with a ruby red overlay on a bubble suffused
ground carved to represent horses in a landscape; the
second bottle with a ruby red overlay on an opalescent
ground carved as four gentlemen engaged in leisurely pursuits
in an outdoor setting.
2 3/8in (5.8cm) high, each (2).

WITH A YELLOW GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE

The first of flattened form with a waisted neck and flat lip, the
oval foot slightly concave, the opalescent glass with mottled
pink spots; the second of flattened ovoid form with a flat lip
and an oval foot rim.
