A YELLOW JADE BUFFALO
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The recumbent animal is carved with its head
raised, legs tucked under it, and its tail ficked over
its haunches. The stone is of an even yellowish-
green tone with some russet inclusions.

A WHITE AND GREY JADE ‘YINGXIONG’
CARVING
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The jade is carved in the round as an eagle with
outspread wings resting on the shoulder of a
crouching bear with bulging eyes and a trifurcated
tail. The jade is of a creamy tone with dark grey
inclusions.
