                           A BLACK-GROUND THANGKA OF PADMASAMBHAVA
                           17TH-18TH CENTURY
                           The thankga is decorated in gilt and red pigments on a black ground and features Padmasambhava seated
                           holding a vajra in his raised right hand and a skull cup in his left, with a khatvanga resting against his left
                           shoulder, all before a nimbus mandorla decorated with fowers. The fgure is surrounded by further deities
                           such as Mahakala and Ksitigarbha.
