An enameled tray decorated with foreign figures
Qianlong period
The rectangular tray raised on four bracket feet and delicately
painted with a foreign gentleman seated on a carpet flanked by three
companions waiting for refreshments brought by two servants and a
putti in flight, the figures gathered on a lush riverbank with overarching
pines and maple trees, the scene enclosed by a diaper and floral
border and reversed by a dynamic scene of a yellow and a blue
dragon cavorting in billowing clouds under a yellow ‘cracked ice and
prunus’ border.

A rare pair of European figural enameled
saucer dishes
Qianlong period
Each supported on a small circular foot and tapering outward to a
wide copper rim, decorated with two scenes of European figures,
the first showing a seated foreigner in a room interior served fish by
a waiting attendant, the other a foreign gentleman seated under a
tree with a putti playing nearby, the scenes enclosed by alternating
reserves of landscape and floral sprays, the underside painted with
foliate and diaper meanders.
