An enameled tray with foreign figure decoration
Qianlong period
The quatrilobate footed tray decorated on the interior with a European
gentleman and attendant entertaining ladies in a garden with a group
of five elegant women and small children engaged in conversation
nearby, refreshments positioned on a nearby table and a church
steeple in the background, the scene delicately painted in pastel
enamels under a diaper and floral banded border, the underside
rendered with a Western landscape waterway showing two men on
a bridge leading to a foreground bank, with houses in the near and
middle distance shrouded by verdant peaks.

An enameled dish with auspicious fruits
Qianlong period
Decorated on the central well with chrysanthemums, Buddha’s hand
citron, peaches and seasonal flowers set against a white field flanked
by a yellow foliate meander border under a broad bat and cloud diaper
band and blue and white enameled floral border, the exterior brilliantly
painted with a network of floral blossoms and leafy branches against
a yellow ground, the foot painted with a blue enameled phoenix
medallion.
