The coiling dragon presented with a spiky spine and stylized wings, its
head touching its lithe tail, its jaw gaping to reveal its tongue; the stone
an intricate combination of white and rich russet coloration.

water coupe
17th/18th century
Elegantly carved and hollowed out with four tiers of petals enclosed by
a cluster of leaves, the stem of the flower realistically forming the base
of the vessel, carved from the mottled white stone displaying gray
patches to the petals.

A Ming style handled jade bowl
Qing dynasty
Raised on a circular low foot, the globular cup carved in low relief
with cavorting chilong in clouds set under a key fret band at the rim
accented by paired ring handles with up-turned flanges, the stone a
‘chicken-bone’ color with dark grey patches and vermilion spots.
