TWIN-CARP VASE
17TH CENTURY

The vase is modelled as two adjoined fsh with silver
and gold inlaid detailed eyes, scales and fns.

A SONGHUA-TYPE INKSTONE
18TH-19TH CENTURY

The greyish-green stone is of irregular form, carved with
a gnarled pine branch bordering the well and inscribed
along the edge dated the winter month of jiazi year. The
underside is inscribed Yanqiu ge cang yan which may
be translated as ‘Inkstone treasured in the Pavilion of
Prolonged Autumn’.
