Both wrist rests are carved in the form of two bamboo stems sprouting leafy

branches. The stone wrist rest is incised with a poetic inscription.

A GROUP OF FOUR WOOD WRIST RESTS
19TH-20TH CENTURY

The group comprises an ebony wrist rest with a calligraphic inscription and

three inscribed bamboo wrist rests, one carved with cabbages and another

with a seated immortal beside a smoking censer.
