A HUANGHUALI BRUSH POT

KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)

The brush pot is carved with six lobed sides rising to a slightly
flared rim, decorated on the exterior with three writhing chilong
amidst clouds, one of which grasping a prunus stem in its mouth.
The base is encircled by a band of swirling waves.
