     A FINE WHITE-GLAZED PUCE-ENAMELLED
     ‘DRAGON’ VASE

     QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY, YUXIUXUAN ZHI MARK IN
     UNDERGLAZE BLUE

     The vase is well potted with an oviform body rising to a tapering
     cylindrical neck, covered in a clear glaze. It is applied at the
     shoulder with a chilong peering over the mouth rim with a lingzhi
     spray in its mouth, delicately enamelled in puce. The base bears an
     underglaze blue mark, Yuxiuxuan zhi, ‘Made for the Pavilion of
     Nurturing Beauty’.
