A PAIR OF ANHUA-DECORATED WHITE-
GLAZED STEM BOWLS

YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE
BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)

The well potted stem bowl with rounded sides is raised on a

hollow ribbed foot gently flaring towards the rim. It is finely

incised on the exterior with the Eight Buddhist Emblems,

bajixiang, each tied with ribbons and supported on a lotus bloom,

all above a border of ruyi scroll. It is covered overall with a white

glaze that pools to a greenish tint in the decoration.
