A BLACK LACQUER HEXAFOIL DISH
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
The dish is delicately constructed with shallow five-lobed sides
rising from a recessed base to a petal-shaped rim of conforming
outline, covered with the lustrous lacquer of deep brown colour.
The mouth is bound with a metal band.
