A CARVED TIXI LACQUER RECTANGULAR
STAND

LATE YUAN-EARLY MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY

The stand is supported on four ‘C’-curve short legs and connected
by the curvilinear aprons, well carved with elegant classic ruyi
motifs through alternating layers of black and red lacquer. The
underside is lacquered black.
