A ‘TIGER’S EYE’ STONE
CARVING OF MYTHICAL
ANIMAL
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The stone is carved in the round depicting
a recumbent mythical animal with long
eras and bifurcated tail, detailed with
C-scrolls. Its head turned back and all four
legs tucked underneath its body.

AN AGATE ‘MONKEY’ PENDANT
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The pendant is cleverly carved in the
centre utilizing the honey-toned markings
with a crouching monkey, surmounted by
a bat at the top. The reverse is carved with
a double gourd growing on a leafy branch.
