A FINE PALE GREEN JADE DOUBLE-
HANDLED BOWL
18th century
The compressed globular body rising from a ring
foot, finely carved in low relief with two flower-
and-bird scenes depicting magpies perching
on flowering prunus branches and blossoming
lotus, the delicate leafy flower handles with
elegantly-curved stems forming the loops, the
stone of pale green tone scattered with icy
inclusions. 12.3cm (4 7/8in) wide.

foot ring, the domed cover with a flat top, the
undecorated smoothly-polished stone of even
pale green tone with faint icy and beige inclusions,
