Mid Qing Dynasty 18th century
Carved using the natural colours of the stone to depict a large lingzhi Of cylindrical form with an irregular mouth rim, finely carved around the
fungus decorated with a small bat in flight on the back, flanked by a exterior in high relief to simulate a section of a gnarled pine-tree trunk,
small magnolia blossom and separated by a gnarled branch bearing the exterior with an aged pine-tree growing beside ornamental rocks
persimmons and smaller lingzhi, the stone of varying white and coral around the base, the translucent stone of attractive warm beige colour
tones, wood stand. with russet inclusions, wood stand.
