           TABLE SCREEN
           Dated by inscription to the 9th year of
           Guangxu corresponding to 1883 and of the
           period
           Of rectangular form, finely painted on one side
           in bright enamels with an indoor setting, an
           elegant lady seated on a luohan bed with her
           left hand holding a fruit and right arm resting
           on the side plank, looking at three boys at
           play, the unglazed reverse inscribed with the
           name and address of the maker, mounted and
           set within a carved hongmu frame.
           Overall 33cm (13in) high. (2).

           清光緒九年 五彩人物圖屏

           The inscription reads:
           「粵東省城小新街 張巨泰造 光緒九年十月运」
           Which may be translated as:
           ‘Made by Zhang Jutai, Xiaoxin Street, Eastern
           Guangdong Provincial Capital, in the tenth
           month in the ninth year of the Guangxu reign.’

           enamelled with a central floral roundel
           between two raised borders around the
           exterior, each well with a chrysanthemum.
