The lingbi rock resembling a mountain
range, the textured surface with numerous
depressions, protrusions and furrows, the
raised areas of the dark grey stone with a light
polish, wood stand, box, 16.5cm (6 1/2in)
long; and the rootwood sculpture imitating
a scholar’s rock, stand and box, 15cm (6in)
long. (6).

The stocky animal naturalistically depicted
striding with its fore legs and rear legs
spread apart, the head turned back, the
taut muscular body accented with a groove
running along the spine and well-pronounced
haunches, wood stand. 25.5cm (10in) high. (2).
