A WHITE JADE ‘DRAGON AND CRANE’ SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1850
Of flattened, rounded rectangular form, the short tubular neck with a
flat lip, crisply carved in low relief, one side with a crane flying above
the sun rising from waves, the other with a dragon in the clouds
looking down at a smaller dragon rising from the sea, all supported on
an oval foot ring, the stone an even white color.
