and trigrams on the sides, the other side with a dancing boy flanked
by vines bearing gourds and blossoms, the stopper en suite, all This bottle is rife with auspicious meaning. The vase shape it takes
supported on an oval foot ring. is called ping in Chinese which together with the covered box, he,
3in (7.6cm) high forms the rebus heping, peace and harmony. The shou medallion
on the cover of the box represents longevity and the bat symbolizes
$3,000 - 5,000 blessings. The flowering vines bearing double gourds and the boy
express the wish for a continuous family line with lots of progeny.
