A RED OVERLAY SNOWFLAKE GLASS ‘VICTORY AND PEACE’
SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1880
Of flattened circular form, surmounted by a gently waisted neck with
a flat lip, the red overlay carved to form the oval foot ring, mock lion
mask and ring handles on the shoulders, and the characters hong
qi zou kai (red flags fly in victory) on one side and cang hai xiao fen
(peace returns to the vast oceans).
