AN AMBER OVERLAY YELLOW GLASS ‘CRAB’ SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1850
Of flattened ovoid form, surmounted by a slightly flaring neck with flat
lip, the translucent amber layer used to carve the neat oval foot ring,
and on each side a crab gasping on to a head of millet with its pincers.
