AN ARCHAISTIC BRONZE BEAKER VASE, ZUN
17th/18th century
Raised on a tall, stepped base, supporting a wide
bulbous body cast with shallow abstract taotie
masks bisected with vertical flanges under a sharply
recessed shoulder set with three bovine masks
over further taotie bands, the tall, cylindrical neck
bisected by paired bowstrings at the base and
flaring to a wide mouth.

A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI STOOLS, FANGDENG
19th century
The four-panel top set into a mitered, mortise and
tenon frame with ice-plate edge over a single-
board recessed waist and apron half-lapped to
square, beaded legs joined together by hump-back
stretchers and ending in hoof feet, the honey-brown
wood well figured. (2)
