A CIRCULAR JADE BOX AND COVER WITH CHILONG
DECORATION
Late Qing/Republic period
The slightly domed cover carved with a sinous chilong above the sides
incised with a continuous band of stylized scrolls, the box enclosed by
a band of leaves, all above a short foot; the matrix a mottled celadon
hue with white inclusions.

Carved in the form of a recumbent beast with its head turned, the
body decorated with scrolls and raised bosses, the matrix a yellow-
green hue with natural fissures and black inclusions.
