The lid centered by a convex ovoid plaque reticulated as a gnarled
and leafy branch suspending a pair of peaches and bats, the stone of
whorled hues of grays and darker browns; now mounted to a wire inlay
hardwood lidded rectangular box.

Thinly sectioned, the front carved in relief with sinuous chilong, the
reverse incised with birds and floral scrolls; the stone a mottled dark
green hue with black inclusions and veining.

FOUR JADE CARVINGS
Qing dynasty and later
Comprising a white jade archer’s ring, the exterior incised with a floating
plum branch, a russet and celadon jade bi disc carved in high relief with
two chilong, a white jade pendant decorated with a bat holding a lingzhi
branch, and a square jade seal carved with cloud scrolls, the seal face
incised with ‘yu shou’ characters.
