long robes and a tall official’s cap, gilt lacquered highlights.

A SILVER INLAY BRONZE FIGURE OF A STANDING GUANYIN
Shisou mark
Hollow cast, raised upon a double lotus plinth and holding a scroll,
attired in robes inlaid in elaborate silver inlay patterns open at the chest
to reveal elaborate silver jewels, the small of the back bearing the two
character makers’ mark.

A MALE AND FEMALE ACUPUNCTURE MODEL
Qing dynasty
The carved wood figures displaying enlarged earlobes and other
vaguely Buddhist features, the male with top-knot and the female
with Bodhisattva-like chignon, the female standing nude in slight
contrapposto, the male wearing a dhoti or similar loin cloth, both
figures perforated in numerous holes each labeled with the name of
the specific ‘acupoints’ or xue; raised on circular plinths.
