A ‘DREAM STONE’ MOUNTED TABLE SCREEN
Late 19/early 20th century
The off-white rectangular marble panel with grey and russet markings
suggesting an array of mountains blended with a stretch of immense
water in unstained light, one side inscribed with a title matching the
depicted scene reading ‘Pengying xiaoji’, dated wuwu (1858 or 1918),
signed Bixiang Zhuren; set within a wood frame supported in an easel
stand carved with ‘dajiyang yiyong’ to the apron.
