A FINE SOAPSTONE CARVING OF A LUOHAN
17th/18th century
The figure carved seated at ease, wearing long robes incised with
floral motifs at the hem, and further foliate designs incorporating the
fissures, the hands holding a small pot upon the knee, the long face
with elongated earlobes, the stone of a striated pale beige hue.
