Late Ming Dynasty
Each variously cast with archaistic leiwen
or stylised bird motifs, comprising: a square
incense burner and cover, fangding; a hu
vase with paired loop and loose ring handles;
and a tripod incense burner, ding, Xuande
six-character mark to base. The fangding:
22.8cm. (9in) high. (4).

VASES, GU
Ming/early Qing Dynasty
Comprising: a vase of square section
decorated with taotie masks against leiwen
ground, the upper section with blades, all
interspersed with flanges around the corners,
wood stand; the second vase with taotie
masks against leiwen ground, with flanges
around the central section and spreading
foot, the trumpet shaped neck with upright
blades, the base cast with Lügu zhai mark
(‘Studio of archaic companion’) encircled by
two dragons in mutual pursuit; and a small
square section vase, decorated with chilong
against leiwen ground with flanges at the
corners. The tallest 27cm (10.5/8in) high. (3).
