A GRISAILLE ENAMELLED PORCELAIN ‘LANDSCAPE’
PLAQUE
Republic Period
Decorated with two gentlemen conversing on a mountain path before
a pavilion nestling amongst pine and rockwork, before a waterfall
and distant mountains, cyclically dated to 1929, year of 己巳Ji si,
signed 厭原山氏 Yan yuanshan shi, carved wood frame and stand.
The plaque 38cm x 24.5cm (15in x 9.1/8in), 71.5cm (28.1/8in) high
including the frame and stand.

A FAMILLE ROSE ‘LUOHANS’ PLAQUE
Late Qing Dynasty/Republic Period
The rectangular plaque boldly enamelled with seventeen luohans
on and around a log raft sailing across tumultuous waves, one of
the luohans emanating a visualisation of a scaly dragon emerging
from waves above a pagoda, all encased in a hardwood frame with
lacquered and painted removable back panel. The plaque: 41cm (16
1/8in) x 27cm (10 1/8in)

A YIXING ZISHA RETICULATED TEAPOT AND COVER
18th century, seal mark of Chen Jinghou
Of hexagonal baluster form, decorated on the rounded shoulders
with reticulated cartouche of flowering prunus, with duanni backing,
above archaistic upright lappets at the foot and stylised chilong at the
neck, with makara-head spout and phoenix handle, the reticulated
cover with matching prunus design. 16cm (6 1/4in) wide
