19th century
Comprising: a large Canton vase with
garlic neck and applied lotus stem handles,
decorated with a central scene of warriors
and bannermen in a mountainous landscape,
fitted bronze stand; a smaller Canton vase
typically decorated with scenes of ladies
on terraces; and an Imari lobed vase with
scenes of blossoming gardens on floral
grounds. The largest vase 67.2cm (26.1/2in)
high including the fitted stand. (3).

TURQUOISE GROUND VASE
18th and 19th century
The first decorated with recessed arabesque
shaped panels enclosing vases of flowers
and scholars’ objects, alternating with panels
of floral pendants, all on a whorl pattern
ground reserved with scattered flowerheads;
the second painted with twin phoenix in a
garden of peonies, magnolia and rockwork.
The vase and cover 54cm (21.1/4in) high. (3).

GUANYIN
Qianlong
The figure with serene expression, standing
holding a scroll in the left hand, the hair
pulled up in a high chignon covered in
a cowl, wearing elaborate long, flowing
robes, decorated in iron red and famille rose
enamels with scattered flower sprays and
foliate roundels.
