TIERED PICNIC BOX, TIHE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
Of rectangular shape, comprising a cover
and a shallow upper hardwood tray above
three stacked trays, held on a base frame
with two side posts flanked by standing
spandrels and joined at the top by a
rounded square handle. The base frame
and handle are reinforced by brass mounts.
