QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD
comprised of one standing Buddha with a tall ushnisha,
cast seated in dhyanasana with hands held in dhyanamudra, attached to later wood stand; one gilt-bronze Buddha standing
backed by a separately cast aming mandorla with characters against a mandorla atop a stand, cast as one piece; one gilt-
inscribed to the insert tabs, all supported on a rectangular bronze Buddha sitting on a lotus, installed on a later wood
plinth, inscribed to the interior with three characters reading base; one gilt-bronze standing bodhisattva (4)

A PARCEL-GILT BRONZE AND LACQUERED
FIGURE OF BUDDHA,
LATE MING DYNASTY
cast seated in dhyanasana, the left hand held in dhyanamudra
while the right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra, clothed
in long robes falling into neat folds bordered by scrolling lotus,
the open chest engraved with a wan symbol above a ribbon-
tied undergarment, the face with a benevolent expression
anked by long pendulous ears, the hair gathered in rows of
tight curls covering the domed ushnisha, traces of blue and red
lacquer
