CENSER (FANG DING) DATED DAOGUANG EIGHTEENTH YEAR,
LATE MING DYNASTY CORRESPONDING TO 1839
with slightly tapering sides and a concave base supported rim rising to a domed top pierced with four holes above
on four columnar legs, the exterior of each side cast with an the ared casting seam at the shoulder, surmounted by a
upper frieze of confronting birds and a central panel of C- and faceted nial pierced for suspension, the body with relief oral
T-scrolls against a leiwen ground enclosed on three sides by decoration and inscription dated Daoguang eighteenth year,
a triple row of pointed bosses, the at rim of the censer with ninth month
upright D-shaped handles, a two-character intaglio inscription Height 11¾ in., 29.8 cm

A LARGE ARCHAISTIC BRONZE ARROW
VASE
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
raised on a ared pedestal base and rising to a long cylindrical
neck, with four protruding scalloped anges alternating with
archaistic decoration in relief continuing on the foot, base of
the standard, and the mouth, the neck with two applied chilong
below the rim complemented by two short cylinders, the foot
with applied circular aperture
