CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION




                  A. Title Description

                          In Module 3, learners will learn expressions related to time, date, names of months,
                       and  names  of  days.  The  learning  in  this  Module  is  presented  in  the  form  of  a

                       conversation. Learners can look at the list of difficult words in the vocabulary column
                       before  doing  the  tasks  provided.  Independently,  learners  can  practice  reading  the

                       dialogs and learn to understand the content by answering some questions.

                            Have you ever heard of cardinal and ordinal numbers? In telling time, days, dates
                       and months it is important to know the terms cardinal and ordinal numbers. Cardinal

                       numbers are numbers that indicate numbers such as 1,2,3 and so on, while ordinal

                       numbers are numbers used to indicate position such as first, second, third and so on.
                           At the end of the learning activity, communicate both in writing and orally and be

                       able to conclude what has been learned related to expressions of time (time), date (date),
                       names of months (months), and names of days (days).

                          Before learning the subject matter in this module, learners must master verbs such as

                       be, have, go, work, live (in simple present tense), subject pronouns (I, You, We, They,
                       He, She, It) and possessive pronouns (my, your, his, etc.) which have been taught in the

                       previous module.

                       In order for you to successfully master and understand the material in this module, read

                       it carefully and follow the following instructions:

                          1.  Study the table of contents and the module positioning scheme carefully and
                              thoroughly.

                          2.  Do the questions in the ability check to measure the extent of knowledge you

                              have.
                          3.  Pay attention to the correct work steps to make it easier to understand a work

                              process.
                          4.  Understand  each  basic  material  and  read  carefully.  Then  do  the  evaluation

                              questions as a means of practice.
