                    KEY MESSAGES

X DTFC seems to be effective in preventing glaucomatous visual field progression.

X DTFC is as efficient as LTFC in reducing IOP.

                    STRENGTHS

X A 4-year study comparing DTFC & LTFC on IOP lowering a visual field damage.

                   X Interventional study – 2 groups – 178 patients.
X In DTFC-treated group: Border volume, retinal nerve fibers layers thickness and section
                     significantly increased.
X 56 patients (70.9%) in the DTFC-treated group showed a significant visual field defect
improvement. Mean Defect decreased by -1.24 in the DTFC-treated group.
X DTFC increased MS (Mean Sensitivity) slopes during follow-up: 1.14 dB/year. LTFC
decreased MS slopes during follow-up:-0.34 dB/year.

                     WEAKNESSES

X The progression endpoints based on visual field criteraia have been highly controversial.
X The study lacks of data on compliance.
X In LTFC-treated group : Heidelberg Retina Tomography did not reveal any significant
                     change during the study

                    MARKETING CLAIM

X Dorzodamide-Timolol combination in long-term treatment is effective to reduce IOP
and in preventing visual field progression.
