AND LATANOPROST/TIMOLOL FIXED COMBINATIONS UPON

ABSTRACT
PURPOSE: To report the long-term effect of the DTFC and LTFC on IOP and visual field defects over
time in naive POAG patients.
METHODS: Prospective, 4-year, open-label, interventional study with 178 patients having visual field
defects related to newly diagnosed untreated POAG.
STUDY CRITERIA: IOP mesurements (mm Hg)
RESULTS: Mean IOP reduction was from 22.6 +/- 3.0 to 13.8 +/- 1.9 mmHg with DTFC and from 22.3
+/- 4.0 to 14.7 +/- 1.9 mmHg with LTFC
CONCLUSIONS Key messages
‐ DTFC seems to be effective in preventing glaucomatous visual field progression.
‐ DTFC is as efficient as LTFC in reducing IOP.
