• Failing to observe working schedules, including rest or meal periods;
• Failing to provide a health care provider certificate when requested or required to
do so;
• Sleeping on the job;
• Working overtime without authorization or refusing to work assigned overtime;
• Use of personal phones (except in an emergency or with permission of the
employee’s supervisor), recording equipment, or other personal electronic
devices during working time.
• Failure to abide by Jones-Hamilton Co.’s Work Attire and Appearance;
• Violating any safety, health, security or Jones-Hamilton Co. policy, rule, or
procedure;
• Committing a fraudulent act or a breach of trust under any circumstances; and
• Committing of or involvement in any act of unlawful discrimination, harassment,
retaliation, or workplace bullying of another individual.
Any employee who violates this Employee Conduct, or any other Company
policy, procedure, practice, or rule may, in the sole discretion of management,
be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of
employment.
Nothing in these Employee Conduct Standards alters the at-will employment
relationship between Jones-Hamilton Co.’s and its employees. Either the
employee or Jones-Hamilton Co. remains free to terminate the employment
relationship at any time, with or without reason or advance notice.
HARASSMENT
Jones-Hamilton Co. is committed to providing a work environment free from unlawful
harassment. Jones-Hamilton Co.'s policy prohibits sexual harassment and harassment
based on pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, race, religious creed,
color, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition,
marital status, age, sexual orientation, or any other basis protected by federal, state,
or local law or ordinance or regulation. All such harassment is prohibited. Jones-
Hamilton Co.’s harassment policy applies to all persons involved in the operation of
Jones-Hamilton Co. and prohibits harassment by any employee of Jones-Hamilton Co.,
including supervisors and coworkers, and by visitors or customers. It also prohibits
unlawful harassment based on the perception that anyone has any of those
characteristics, or is associated with a person who has or is perceived as having any of
those characteristics.
Prohibited harassment includes, but is not limited to, the following behavior:
▪ Verbal conduct such as epithets, derogatory jokes or comments, obscene
language, slurs or unwanted sexual advances, invitations, or comments;
▪ Visual displays such as derogatory and/or sexually-oriented posters,
photography, cartoons, drawings, or gestures;
