SECURITY AND SAFETY
Jones-Hamilton Co. has developed guidelines to help maintain a secure workplace. Be
aware of persons loitering for no apparent reason in parking areas, walkways,
entrances and exits, and service areas. Report any suspicious persons or activities to
management. Secure your desk or office at the end of the day. The security of
facilities as well as the welfare of our employees depends upon the alertness and
sensitivity of every individual to potential security risks. You should immediately notify
your supervisor when unknown persons are acting in a suspicious manner in or around
the facilities. All visitors should wear appropriate identification.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
All employees are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others in the
workplace. To help us maintain a safe workplace, everyone must be safety-conscious
at all times. Report all work-related injuries or illnesses immediately to your
supervisor, to the Health, Safety and Security Manager or to the Human Resources
Manager. To be in compliance with and to promote the concept of a safe workplace,
Jones-Hamilton Co. maintains an Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Jones-
Hamilton Co.’s injury reporting program is described in document number 303-EHS,
title “Injury & Illness”.
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
Jones-Hamilton Co. considers pollution prevention and employee health and safety an
integral part of our business strategy and essential to our success. It is the policy of
Jones-Hamilton Co. to manufacture and distribute all products safely, and in a manner
that protects the health and safety of our employees, neighbors and the environment.
We are also committed to promoting the responsible handling and use of our products
by our customers, commercial partners and throughout the distribution chain.
As an employee-owned company, we encourage a culture that establishes individual
ownership of environmental, safety and security responsibility throughout the organization,
and empower everyone to continually improve working conditions. All Jones-Hamilton Co.
employees are required to incorporate safe and environmentally responsible practices in
the conduct of their jobs. Each employee is responsible for remedying identified conditions
that may result in an unsafe situation or harm to the environment, and for promptly
notifying management of such conditions that the employee cannot remedy
himself/herself.
®
Using the principles of Responsible Care as our guide, we are committed to complying
with relevant regulations and other requirements to which we subscribe: striving for
continual improvement in the areas of process safety, pollution prevention, product
stewardship, distribution, employee health and safety, emergency response, and
security. Taking into consideration stakeholder and employee inputs, objectives and
targets in each of these areas will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and resources
adjusted as necessary to assure progress in performance improvement.
