“And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites,
saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a
grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name
of it was called ‘Abelmizraim,’ which is beyond Jordan.”
Genesis 50:11
The old Testament mentioned egypt as “the land of Ham” in
Psalms 78:51; Psalms 105:23; Psalms 105:26-27; and Psalms 106:21-
22. The old Testament writers were consistent in their association of
egypt with Ham’s family of nations. There was no mention of egypt
belonging to the nations of Shem or Japheth:
“And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their
strength in the tabernacles of Ham.”
Psalms 78:51
“Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the
land of Ham.”
Psalms 105:23
“He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had
chosen. “They shewed his signs among them, and
wonders in the land of Ham.”
Psalms 105:26-27
“They forgot God their savior, which had done great
things in Egypt; Wondrous works in the land of Ham,
and terrible things by the Red Sea.”
Psalms 106:21-22
These verses consistently tied egypt to the black nations — not
to the Asiatic or white nations. The old Testament continuously
provides evidence of the presence of strong black nations. Modern
scholars try to remove ancient egypt as a land belonging to the black
nations during the old Testament era — which clearly contradicts the
old Testament writings. Prominent egyptians in the old Testament
include:
Moses’ adopted mother and grandfather (Pharaoh).
