to fill that empty space. You’ll notice, here, that it only stretched the ceiling and wall above her head—it did not stretch or distort our bride at all, which is
part of the wonder and magic that is Content-Aware Scale.

               Step Three:
Now do the same thing at the bottom of the image—grab the bottom-center point and drag downward until it fills that white gap intelligently, without
stretching our bride at all. When you’re done, press the Return (PC: Enter) key to lock in your scaling. You’ve now covered the gaps and your bride (and
overall image) still looks awesome. This is just one way to use Content-Aware Scale (it helps here and there for Instagram images for me), but there are
probably half-a-dozen ways you’ll find to use this feature. Now, it’s important to note that this won’t work on every image (I’m not sure I know of any
effect that works perfectly on every single image), and there’s a limit to how far you can drag before it just can’t help itself and it starts stretching your
subject. But, I have another tip in the next step that might help, if it does start to stretch something (or someone) when you don’t want it to.

               Step Four:
If you realize it’s stretching something it’s not supposed to, press Command-Z (PC: Ctrl-Z) to Undo, then get the Lasso tool (L) from the Toolbar, and
draw a loose selection around the area you don’t want to move when you’re scaling (as shown here, where I put a loose selection around the bride and the
bed area. These are the areas that really can’t afford to get messed up). Then, go under the Select menu and choose Save Selection. The Save Selection
dialog will appear, but you don’t need to do anything there other than just click OK, and it saves this selection as what’s called an “Alpha channel.” Now,
go under the Edit menu and choose Content-Aware Scale, but before you start scaling, up in the Options Bar, choose Alpha 1 from the Protect pop-up
