Interface: Navigating Photoshop’s Interface
Unlike Lightroom, by default, Photoshop’s panels are all on the right side of the screen (there are no panels on the left side, just the Toolbar). But also,
unlike Lightroom, most of Photoshop’s 26 panels are hidden from view (you can find them all by going under the Window menu). Again, like with the
tools, there are only a few photographers actually use. Also, some of the shortcuts for viewing and making your way around your images will be very
familiar to Lightroom users. (Note: I’m working in Application Frame here, so you can see the full Photoshop window. You can turn this off on a Mac by
selecting it under the Window menu.)
               Hiding Panels:
To hide all the panels (including the Toolbar on the left and Options Bar at the top), press the Tab key and you’ll get the view you see here—just your
image—no panels or Toolbar. If you only want the panels hidden, and to keep the Toolbar and Options Bar still visible, then press Shift-Tab.
